Veterans Benefits
The Art Institute of Las Vegas is approved for the training of veterans and eligible veterans' dependents by the Veterans Adminstration: State of Nevada Commission on Poseconary Education.
Students sponsored or assisted by the Veterans Administration may receive assistance from the Admissions Department in the filing of appropriate forms. These students must maintain satisfactory attendance and academic progress (see policies section of the catalog for more information). Students receiving veterans' benefits must report all prior education and training before attending The Art Institute of Las Vegas. The Art Institute of Las Vegas will evaluate prior credit and accept that which is appropriate. The time to complete the program and the total tuition will be reduced proportionately and the US Department of Veterans Affairs will be notified.
Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges
The Art Institute of Las Vegas is a member of Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges, a consortium of national higher education associations that functions in cooperation with the Department of Defense, the military services (including the National Guard), and the Coast Guard to help meet the voluntary higher education needs of servicemembers. Cooperating in cooperation with the U.S. Army Recruiting Command, this consortium includes more than 1500 participating SOC colleges and universities that have agreed to accept for admission new Army and Army Reserves recruits at the time of their enlistment in the service. There is a limited number of a scholarship for dependents of active duty servicemen.
